Espen Aetherius

Espen is a polite and empathetic seraph who is always looking to help as many people as possible. He once was a powerful protector of the world, but his power was sealed away by the Goddess Umbra. But even in his weaker state, he still believes himself to be responsible for the well being of everyone around him. Many know him as a hardworking and generous person, sometimes to the point of neglecting his own needs. He is extremely devoted to his loved ones and feels immense guilt whenever he is unable to protect them. His idealistic nature often results in his high hopes and expectations from others, especially himself. While he is training to regain his strength until his magic can reach his former state, he works as a magic teacher in Castamond.

He adheres to a strong code of morality and believes there is a clear distinction between what is right and wrong. It is rumored that he was more a stern and forceful person in the past, but he seems to have mellowed with age. Although he appears more passive and gentle on the outside, his core values remain strong.
